Função
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for establishing financial statements, ensuring monthly reporting and closing. The main tasks are:
- Oversee the monthly closing process to ensure its integrity;
- Track transactional operations (payables, receivables, travel & expenses): invoice processing, payments, expense claims, and dispute resolution;
- Handle accrual entries and manual journal postings, set up fixed assets in SAP;
- Review depreciation schedules and payroll entries;
- Ensure accurate intercompany reconciliations and validate balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy;
- Generate accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) reports, including aging analysis;
- Participate in physical inventories of assets and stock;
- Liaise with auditors and ensure Tax compliance in close relationship with external advisors;
- Prepare consolidation reports for the parent company, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Initiate and oversee payment campaigns and reconcile bank accounts;
- Track local subsidy files and group funding.
- Ensure conformity with Internal Control principles;
- Ensure accuracy of several declarations: VAT, Intrastat, CIT-Modelo 22; IES, and others.
Requisitos
- Degree/Master’s in Accounting, Management, or Economics;
- Experience in similar roles (5 to 10+ years) – Industry sector experience is a plus;
- Valid Chartered Accountant certification;
- Proficient in analytical accounting;
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, particularly Excel;
- Mandatory experience as a SAP FI user; experience in information system migration is valued;
- Strong logical reasoning and analytical thinking skills, responsibility, organization, and adherence to deadlines;
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
